Spring Clean-up Day – 2025

We had a fantastic turnout for the spring clean-up earlier today and despite a very heavy shower this morning the day improved by the hour and we were basking in sun by the evening.

We tidied up the planter and tackled the grass verge near the shops, widening the path by at least 50cm’s; we removed some ivy from the front railing which is at risk of damaging our stone wall and railing, and we repurposed the grass from the verge to repair some subsided sections on the back-green.

A special thanks to every person and each family who helped out, we were delighted to welcome so many new faces that we ran out of litter-pickers!

A special mention to the three local Councillors who each took time out of their day to help out and break a sweat – in no particular order they were: Michael Fleming (IND), Lettie McCarthy (LAB) and Pierce Dargan (FG).
