Site at Oldtown House, Kilgobbin road

Update, 9th of July 2024: The planning application below was refused on the basis of a lack of available access from the Clay Farm Loop Road. This suggests that DLRCoCo are determined to maintain the existing character of the Kilgobbin Road but also allows for the future development of the lands once the Loop Road is provisioned.

The requirement for access to this land off the loop road was outlined on page 56 of the “Ballyogan & Environs Local Area Plan”.

14th June 2024: A planning application was submitted for the site at Oldtown House on the Kilgobbin road on the 17th of May 2024 with planning reference D24A/0341.

It provides for the construction of 89 residential units, comprising 39 houses and 50 apartments. It includes access from and road modifications to the Kilgobbin road including the addition of up to 9 ramps, pedestrian crossings and a t-junction along the road.
